We don't get many magazines or any publications but one of the few we receive is a devotional published by an Amish Mennonite church in Kentucky. Our latest issue came today and after seeing it I decided to offer a giveaway for anyone who would enjoy a subscription.
This time I will be choosing five winners so your chances of winning are better.
To enter all you have to do is leave a comment telling me something that made you smile today.
For an additional entry post a link to this giveaway on your blog or Facebook page then come back and leave another comment telling me you did.
I will be using random.org to chose a winner on Monday Feb. 21st
Disclaimer: No one has asked me to and I am not being compensated to have this giveaway.

I used to receive Beside the Still Waters a few years ago. I still have many back issues. I give them to friends who are seekers.
ReplyDeleteI've been smiling (and chuckling) all morning cause the "bull" calf my hubby picked out to bring home of all the "bull" calves at a dairy yesterday, turned out to be a girl (he didn't look, figured they knew what they were doing so he didn't have to get down and check)...so we ended up getting a really good deal on a heifer calf! Can't stop giggling about it, as well as smiling! :-))
ReplyDeleteI have been smiling all morning because of my servant-hearted 6-year old. We got some groceries this morning, and after pushing the cart out to the van, as she always does, she proceeded to load all the groceries in the back, while I buckled in littles, helped me push the carts back into the store, then unloaded and put away nearly all the groceries as soon as we got home, and was STILL asking for things to do to help me. I love willing helpers, and would love to win a subscription to this publication!
ReplyDeleteI have been laughing about a guy who thought he could use a bb gun on a coon
ReplyDeleteSmiles came to me when I read some wonderfully reassuring verses in Psalm 84, all connected with our upcoming move.
ReplyDeleteMy daughter made me smile today. She is very sweet and loving. She was making friends at the dentist and charming everybody. :) She's 7.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the chance to win the devotional. It is so hard to find a good devotional for myself or for family use!
ReplyDeleteSeeing this makes me smile and realize this must be the same devotional we shared with all our church families for the New Year. Ours is a Spanish, one volume edition by Still Water Ministries, Vision Publishers and our folk love it and share thoughts they read with others. We bought them from Mennonite friends. God is Good!
ReplyDeleteI'd love to win this devotional. I'm not familiar with it, but I was just starting to look for one, and this may be perfect :)
ReplyDeleteblessings,
Niki

ReplyDeleteI don't want this to sound glum, but the sun hasn't come out since our dear friend took her own life last Sunday.
ReplyDeleteI went out on the patio, and I said, "Lord, I really need some sunshine today!"
It wasn't even a minute until there was a small break in the clouds, and the sun came out - only a short time.

That made me smile and cry.

I am smiling because we had much needed rain today and it smelled so wonderful. I would love to receive this devotional. My father's ancestors came from Transylvania to Russia and were Hutterites. I have always been interested in the past and of course, reading the Bible. I would love this devotional. Thank you for the opportunity. Susan

ReplyDeleteWe are visiting my brother in Florida and the welcoming sun and warm weather makes me smile -- it's snowing back home!!
ReplyDeleteBefore I was even out of bed this morning, I was blessed with my first smile by something my husband said. He has come down with a really bad cold and I told him I was going to make him a huge pot of chicken soup. His reply? "Oh no...this is a BIG BOY cold, we'll need to boil a Bison!"
ReplyDeletePS...I posted the link on my blog!
ReplyDeleteThank you for this chance...
I am smiling because I have a 3-day weekend! I love this giveaway because I've really never used an organized devotional. I read Bible chapters each morning, and I have a little book that explains some things, but never have done "think about" or "study" things to go with them. :)
ReplyDeleteMy youngest is a son who turned two in December. He is so polite and it makes me smile several times a day when he says please when asking for something and thank you when he is given something. I am also smiling listening to my twelve year old daughter playing with my son.
ReplyDeleteI'm smiling this morning because the sun is finally shining! Also I just found some houseplans at Tumbleweed Tiny Houses that would be perfect for our downsizing plans. Very exciting! I would love to win a subscription--thank you for the opportunity!
ReplyDeleteBetsy
I don't mean to be rude, but isn't this a free publication? We have received it for some time. I suppose it might please Still Waters Ministries to see their information shared will all those interested.
ReplyDeleteI smiled at my wonderful children behaving, for once. LOL
ReplyDeleteThis afternoon I smiled when my thirteen-year-old son, who was down with a fever this morning, came out to the kitchen to tell me he's feeling better. As he walked away, I once again shook my head at how tall he is becoming. He is almost a man, yet I remember what a tiny, delicate baby he was such a short time ago.
ReplyDeleteI also blogged about your giveaway on my blog, Spejory.
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way, referring to the previous commenter, I don't mind if the devotional is free. A giveaway is fun regardless of the cost of the prize.
NeKisha, They do offer it for free but are always happy when people make donations which is what I will be doing when I order these subscriptions for the winners.
ReplyDeleteI got $230 worth of clothes for only $5 (I had a gift certificate for $100) and then found a shirt with tags still on it at a thrift store for only $4.
ReplyDeleteI am smiling today because the sun came up and the sun went down...and everything in between seemed to be joyful.
ReplyDeleteSusannah
Watching my daughter set up her house may me smile today. :) Love spending time with her.
