Picture my Week

Some time spent on the trail on a lovely afternoon.

That was a lot more relaxing than working on a coding project I'm in the middle of.

Rosebud created an enormous banana pudding. Complete with homemade pound cake. It was our first time using our homemade vanilla, which turned out to taste great. So good that I'll have a hard time going back to the store bought stuff.

The girls put an assortment of puzzles together. It took Sunbeam a while to get this one, but she was pleased with it once it was done.

Rosebud did several puzzles and then started a huge one. It'll take a long time to get it done.

Another afternoon spent at a friends pool. Buddy thought he had it made to have the girls give him rides on this float-y.

  2. I get a headache just by looking at the picture of your coding project.

How did you learn to do that? I'm impressed!

  3. It is so nice and easy to picture your week through your photos! Love them. Can you tell me how you make your own vanilla? It sounds delicious and I would like to make my own.

    1. Homemade vanilla is quite easy to make. I simply cut up some vanilla beans and soaked them in vodka for 8 weeks. Having to enter a liquor store was the only drawback to making it. :)

  4. It looks as if Rosebud needs a second table! When my mum was in assisted living, they had pieces of cardboard set aside and somebody would put, say, all of the flowers on one piece of cardboard, and another would set to work on the sky. When that section was done, it could be slipped off the cardboard and put into place. I still use this method, and it's only me!

    1. She is using two tables. The picture shows the cards table where she spread all her pieces, but she's putting it together on our dining room table.

  5. I think it's amazing that you can do that coding. I did some for college classes and was so glad when I finished those classes. The cake is amazing, Rosebud is a very talented baker and can visit me anytime. :-)
    Blessings,
