There's only so much you can do on a porch though. So I've been reading a lot to him as well. His favorite book could have been featured in all of the past "Picture my Week" posts as well. He enjoys helping read it by taking care of all the barking parts.
We have several baby kittens that are finally old enough to play with. Buddy isn't quite as impressed with kittens as the girls are.
Since the first dandelion Sailor presented to me when he was itty-bitty, I could count on him having an eye for flowers for Mom. This week he presented me with this handpicked bouquet.
On our visit to the library this week, I noticed these four hanging out in the children's section. They looked well read, which made me smile.
I love the picture of Buddy on the porch with that beautiful rhododendron in the background.
ReplyDeleteHello Mary Ann,
ReplyDeleteIt must feel quite accomplishing to see your literary works in the library. Better yet, when they have obviously been frequently read.
Congratulations on becoming such a successful author.
Blessings to you and yours,
Mrs.B
Precious times with precious little ones. I love the part about him doing the barking parts. So cute.
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures! I am excited that your books are well read at the library! 😊
ReplyDeleteWe are also under the rain, rain, rain cloud. Today is supposed to be our last day until next weekend, but we'll see.
ReplyDeleteChildren and books and maybe some hot cocoa go well on rainy days. :)

It looks like Buddy does enjoy his time on the porch. I remember spending lots of time on ours when I was growing up. The flowers are beautiful. I enjoyed seeing your books at the library. What a thrill that must give you knowing your love for books.
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Glad to see Buddy has a Pgh. Pirate's hat. This time of year students in Pgh. received a free ticket to the game if they earned good grades the entire term. This is back when they played at Forbes Field (no longer in existence), and outfield seats meant binoculars were necessary. I hope Buddy gets to a game at Heinz Field someday, and it doesn't get rained out!
ReplyDeleteEven though Lily loves the library, glad she goes on visits with new friends. Yeah!
I bet those new friends would love to hear the author read a chapter or two! Just a thought.
sweet post
ReplyDeleteWe are getting our week to ten days of rain, starting today with a tropical storm moving in.
ReplyDeleteWe just slogged out way through seventeen consecutive days of rain - a record for this area. I feel as if I'm growing webs between my toes!
ReplyDeleteI love Quiet Bunny & Noisy Puppy. We used to read that book to our daughter when she was little:-)
