Bits and Pieces

Blogger went ahead and swallowed the post I had made yesterday as well as making that a host of comments from several different posts vanished as well.

We enjoy a daily walk along the edge of the woods. Rosebud and Sunbeam enjoy all the May Apples that are almost ready to start blooming. Taking a leaf they enjoy pretending it's a little parasol as they walk along.

We had the honor and pleasure of having Suzanne Woods Fisher visit us one day this week. The day was much too short as we enjoyed visiting and seeing some of the places that are special to me.

  1. Same thing happened to me...lost my lengthy post from yesterday along with my comments....your little girls braids reminds me of my own little girls at that age.....their hair was so long...I would have to get them to keep walking away from me as I braided it :) Many days of that...sweet memories....blessings

  4. I am so glad you will be able to share your childhood in Suzanne Woods Fisher's book. It must have been a real treat meeting her! Your daughter's hair is much like my four youngest daughter's hair. My six year old tells me she is growing her hair to her ankles! Thank you for sharing your life! I have enjoyed it!

  5. Same thing happened to me. It's like it reset back to before some of it was done or something. Really annoying!

That's sweet about the girls with their pretend parasols! :)

Glad you enjoyed having your visitor.

  6. Yes, Ladies..we all lost yesterdays blog entries, due to Blogger doing maintenance that they SAID would take an hour. Hope they get a good hourly wage, as it was something like 14 hours! And I REALLY liked my entry yesterday about my Grandfather! I may have to redo it. Blogger said they were going to rescue them, maybe they will...I hope.
Anyway...enough growling from me! :-) Mary Ann, how lovely for you to spend time in a pleasant visit!
    Love your girls braids too!

  7. CORRECTION, I just checked, and Blogger's people have apologized for the 20 hrs it was to let us publish again. They say they are working hard to restore lost entries and their comments. YAY! I forgive them...they've had problems, I guess. :-)

  8. Your walk with the girls sounds very nice. Pretend parasols are probably better than real ones these days as they (pretend ones) aren't made in China, lol. Have a great weekend!

  9. You have such a precious family and I have really enjoyed reading your post. You write so well and I also am excited to see a book or series of books come out. May the Lord bless your endeavor with success. It is fun to pretend even at my age, my daughter of 22 and I often have a short time once in a while of playing at a “tea” or walking at the park with our umbrellas in the bright sun.

  10. Idyllic picture of your precious girls outside on the lush grass with the hills & trees--so soothing on the eye and soul. May it draw many to the heart of God, our Creator and Father.
