I ~ Intentional

This is the first year I decided to do that thing where you choose a word to focus on for the year.
I mulled over an assortment of words, but somehow the word, intentional, kept popping into my mind. So I decided to go with it.
I'm finding it's been a good choice so far as I try to focus more on being intentional in what ever I do. Whether that be the relationships I have, the money I spend, the food I eat, or the things that occupy my time.

This morning I'm intentionally looking for the bright side of the snow we're having. So far other than how pretty it looks clinging to every surface, all I've come up with is that I'm thankful I don't have to go outside.

  1. Snow! Oh no. I feel for you.
I'd be thrilled with snow as I love it so much...if my irises, azaleas, wisteria, etd. weren't blooming already.

    1. That was my biggest concern with the cold we're having. Our lilacs were beginning to bud as well as some other flowering bushes. I'm hoping they'll still bloom for us this year.

  2. We've had a lovely week after a March with no sunshine at all. It's supposed to be 69 today and 46 tomorrow. Spring weather at it's best!
I hope you and your family have a blessed Easter weekend!
    Blessings,

  3. Intentional is a good word-of-the-year. As for the snow...they say April showers bring May flowers; not quite sure what April snow would bring! I'm glad you don't have to go out in it!

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving a comment.

  4. I was just talking to my sister-in-law in NC, and they also have what seems to be brutally cold weather. And snow flurries. After ten days of temps in the upper60s and low 70s . . . well, T.S. Eliot wrote "April is the cruelest month". Brrr.

  5. My favorite word! I live by intentional and efficiency is my other favorite.

  6. I will admit it is a little harder to see the beauty in those late spring snows. We had some just last week.

  7. I love how you chose the word 'intentional' for this year. I too have been striving for this in my life...

The snow is so pretty...but then, I am South African, and I have only ever experienced snow once when I was living in China for a few months last year!

    Have a beautiful day!

  8. Your photo is lovely!
Intention is a great word for 2020. I didn't pick one this year - not sure which one I would pick, so I did not pick one.
