  1. Glad to hear I'm not the only one that gets a little excited when a mouse ventures into view.

    1. You're not alone. I'm quite pathetic when ever there's a mouse in my general vicinity.

  2. Yikes! They make me scream too! I put peppermint essential oil on cotton balls to keep them at bay. Apparently they can't detect "danger" smells over the smell of peppermint so they don't come around much. It's also safe to use around children and in food storage areas. I don't know how well it works for other folks but I have had success with this method. It's not 100% effective but old farm houses need all the help they can get! 😊

  3. If would be screaming too. Now you have me curious as to what your chosen form of self defense is. :-)

  4. The little varmint was probably searching your house for what created the delicious aroma last week. It wanted a taste of your grape nuts.

  5. Yikes! I shouldn't have made light of your mouse ordeal. There is a bat in our basement!
But he can't be after my cooking.

    1. Oh no! Shudder! Bats are even worse than mice. Basically a mouse with wings. Who needs that?! Hope you get it caught and removed.

  6. I once had a cat that preferred hunting Doritos over mice. We weren't the best of friends ;).

    1. LOL! I don't really blame the cat for preferring Doritos over mice though. :)

  8. AGHHHH!!! It doesn't get much worse! I did the move-fast-and-scream thing yesterday when I accidentally grabbed a big spider crawling up my skirt. NASTY. My husband was appallingly unsympathetic too!
