Our Week in Pictures

Getting ready for our weekly grocery run on Saturday we discovered this snapping turtle in our garage. When ever a turtle stops by we have a tendency of dropping everything until it leaves. Fascinating creatures!

Sailor presented me with a hand picked bouquet from one of his walks.

The Canada geese are busy parading their little family back and forth to make that their babies can enjoy the creek on both sides of the road.  They seem to take for granted that traffic will stop for them and so far it has. I always breathe a sigh of relief when they reach the other side safely.

Buddy keeps growing so fast. His two new favorite things to do are reading books and squealing. Happy ear piercing squeals.

Thank-you all so much for your patience with me as I spent my writing hours working on the Lily series instead of blogging every day.

  1. I think my favorite childhood book would have to be Little Women. Thanks for the contest.

  2. It looks like Buddy's going to be a little blondie. Well, his love of reading is certainly in the genes ~ I miss those days more than anything, reading to my kids when they were little. One of my favorite children's books is The Giving Tree, but I'm not entering the contest. My sewing machine has decided to be moody so I'm "in between" projects right now, you might say. HA HA Have a great week ~

  3. We have snapping turtles in our pond, and they will stay there, thank you very much. My momma didn't raise me to be no alligator wrestler! Box turtles and terrapins are one matter. Snappers are another thing, entirely.

  4. Love the picture of the snapping turtle. How thoughtful of Sailor (your son?) to bring you such beautiful flowers. Love the duck picture too. Looks like a nice weekend.

  5. I love seeing the geese with their little goslings this time of year. We kept Toulouse geese when I was a kid and it reminds me of them.

The snapping turtle doesn't thrill me though - other types, yes. It makes me want to count my fingers and toes.

Thank you so much for taking time to comment. I love hearing your thoughts.
