Sunset and Blessings

There are some days, like today when everything is going direct opposite of what you had planned, that I have to take a moment and relax and reflect on the many good things in life.
  • a family that is everything to me
  • true friends, ( they truly are precious and rare)
  • good health
  • and if I try to think there are countless other little blessings if I just look for them.

So I'll not complain and just go ahead and try to enjoy my chaotic life. With sunsets like this that we had this weekend a person doesn't have much of a choice, except to drink it in and enjoy it!

I realize Thanksgiving is still a ways off, but what are you thankful for when you take the time to stop and think?

  1. Hi There, Thanks so much for visiting my blog. I would have written you RIGHT back--but as you read in the post, we have been on vacation.

I'm enjoying reading your blog.. The sunset is gorgeous. Seeing a sunset even after a rough day surely does help, doesn't it????

Your Cheese Bars sound great also..

Hope you come back to my blog.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  4. How beautiful!
every day should be Thanksgiving with us. If we count our blessings we won't be blue.
I am going to make your recipe of garlic bites Thursday and bad them in zip lock bag & take on a trip this weekend . I have your name on the recipe so wish me luck with them.
i don't cook so much since I have been widowed...

  8. When I take the time to think about it, I'd say I'm most thankful that somebody taught me about God (that sounds so cliche and goody-goody but I don't mean it like that). I'm thankful for health and family of course, but also for little things like when my checkbook balances and when I have a day off work and no laundry to do... I'm glad I thought about that stuff - thanks for the post!

  9. My list of the things to be most thankful for would be the same exact items as yours! If you have that, you have it ALL!

  10. I am thankful for so many things, and try to list a few each day so I don't forget! The act of Gratefulness is one of the single most powerful exercises I know. Family, friends, home, nature, our pets, to name a few of the blessings I'm thankful for.

Beautiful blog, gorgeous photo as well! I enjoyed my visit here (I even found a great recipe - thank you!), and will be back to visit :)
