Picture my Week

There used to be a time when fog made me feel claustrophobic, but in the past few years that changed, and I actually quite enjoy a light fog. Heavy fog is still a bit oppressive. There was one morning this week when we had fog. I like how it makes everything appear softer, kinder, and just a tad as if you were wrapped safely in a cocoon of sorts away from everything else that is going on in this world.

The worst thing about a bright sunny morning is how for a while the blades of those big, ugly windmills throw shadows on the walls. I have to move to a different room so as not to feel queasy. Thankfully the sun rises fast enough that it doesn't last very long.

Buddy loves when someone takes time to play chess with him. Thankfully he has siblings who have the patience to help him play.

As much as I detest spiders, I do admire spider webs. They're especially pretty in the morning while there are still dew drops hanging onto them.

Our favorite part of every day, is when LV gets home from work.

  1. I agree with the fog and the windmills. Your photo of Buddy is so sweet. Our boys used to play chess together too and my favorite part of the day is when my husband comes home. Thanks for sharing with us.
    Blessings,

  2. Since late August, huge windmill parts have been traveling past our house. There are to be seventeen. So far with three up we can't see them. Holding our breaths for the next fourteen! But one can now see three windmills on top of the tower for the highest point in PA EXCEPT on a foggy day. I am also now more appreciative of fog. Beautiful spider web.

  3. I enjoy watching the windmills. They don't bother me at all.

  4. The windmills would probably bother me a lot. I've had three TIAs (all minor, thank God!)and always the first clue is "flickering" behind my eyes.
Is that Sailor, standing so tall in that picture? Good Heavens! To those of us who only see him in periodic photos, he seems to have shot up over night.
