Followers

I was sad when I got a notification that Google Reader is going away on July 1st. After doing some research I decided to go with Bloglovin' as a way to make it easier for you to remain a follower to my blog.

I found it quite simple to transfer my reader list from my Google Reader to Bloglovin and am happy I found a way to stay connected to my favorite blogs.

For your convenience I added a Bloglovin' button that you can use to follow my blog and not miss any future posts. And if you try it before July 1st you'll be able to transfer your entire reading list from your Google Reader and not have to worry about missing updates to your favorite blogs.

  1. Thanks! I've been on vacation and although I knew Reader was going away, I procrastinated about finding a replacement. I checked out bloglovin' and I've joined you there. My list translated over just fine. Much appreciated.

  6. I switched to Bloglovin a couple weeks ago. I don't like it as well but it'll do. I keep wishing google would change its mind about google reader but I guess there's no chance that will happen, phooey!

  7. I'm confused. So if we come to this link (http://ajoyfulchaos.blogspot.com/) to try to keep up with you, it won't be there anymore? What is bloglovin? And if I click that button and follow, what happens?

  8. Kristina, if you follow my blog by checking it directly you don't have to worry about any of Google's changes. I'll still be here. This only applies to those that use Google Reader to keep up with their favorite blogs.

  9. I've been so busy, I've hardly used my Google reader, but find it handy to "check up" on my blogging friends. Many of whom only post occasionally (like me). However, I took Google up on their offer of what they call "Take out" and have downloaded my reader info so when I decide which reader to use, I'll (supposedly) have all my info. I haven't checked into bloglovin yet, but want to make sure if I change my mind, I can get all of my info out, and not leave anything behind. Actually, I seldom miss A Joyful Chaos because I bookmarked her and a few others as favorites :-)

Thanks for the button... I may go with them and this will make it easier to find.

  10. I really was sad about google reader, but of course had no choice but to switch. I switched to bloglovin and feedly both, and eventually decided on feedly. It will take getting used to, but I'm managing.
