Resolutions

Do you make New Year's resolutions?   I usually don't spend a lot of time mapping out goals for an entire year it's enough for me to meet all my daily goals with out the extra pressure of having an entire year looming over me with high and lofty goals that probably won't be reached.

That being said, there are a few things I would like to do this year. One of them is take a lot more pictures  and the other one is to lose all the baby weight I had gained.

I'm off to a good start. Having a baby in the house seems to provide a lot of photo opportunities. Like this one:

And the second goal.... oh wait, I reached it already! For the first time ever those extra pounds didn't hang around long after the baby arrived. I think I'll do a happy dance!

I enjoy reading every one's New Year's resolutions on the blogs I visit but my favorite so far belongs to my friend Cherie. You can hop on over and read her post here.

  1. I don't bother with resolutions either, but I do have a couple of goals I'd like to meet this year.

  6. I was going to say that having a baby in the house provides a lot of ways to lose weight, but I guess it does provide photo opportunities, as well!

  7. I did make some new years resolutions this year as I try to every year and most years I do succeed in meeting them. The trick for me is to do them like when you do objectives at work, and make them things you can measure - you know whether you achieved or didnt.

    My top 9:
    1. Hit targets at work
    2. Finish my knitting projects (1 bear, one cushion cover, one cardigan)
    3. Walk a mountain in the lake district.
    4. Do a kayaking course
    5. Go to the gym at least twice a week to be able to do numbers 3, 4, 6 & 7.
    6. Do a 10k run and raise money for Mind and Cancer Research charities
    7. Lose 10lb by June
    8. Dont't buy any clothes for whole month every other month starting in January
