Samples from Sailor

Several years ago a friend gave a nice camera to Sailor. He has taken quite a few pictures with it already and last night he asked me to upload the pictures to our computer. I had a lot of fun looking at the world through a little boys eyes. Here is a small sample of the pictures he took. From looking at all the pictures a few things were obvious:
He loves nature.

He loves his family.
He loves creating things. This is a cardboard engine contraption he built that actually ran across the floor for him.

A biplane that he built and spent hours zooming through the air all the while held safely in his hand. I had quite forgotten about that phase so this picture brought back those memories.

And judging from the amount of pictures of this dog he was a very special part of his life.

  3. I have enjoyed reading your blog and follow it quietly in the background. I think the Bible reference you are looking for is Isaiah 1:13.

  4. It is such a blessing to see through the eyes of a child. A decade ago we were blessed with a trip with my father (in his 80's) and my granddaughter (14) on a cruise to Alaska. Getting what amounted to a four generation spread on what happened around was was awesome!

  5. Sailor's pictures are really quite good! The cardboard engine and biplane are impressive - shows he's definitely a thinker! Thank you for sharing the pictures, Sailor. Have a great day, Mary Ann.

  6. I love the pictures of the things Sailor makes - my 9-year-old is a builder too. Wasn't one of your brothers like this?

  7. My children have simple kiddy cameras and love to take pictures of the things that they find and create. We love to do nature scavenger hunts and how-to books with them. It's a fun learning tool!

  8. Your son has a very good eye for photography. I just love how inventive he is with his gadgets. I see an engineer in the making.

  9. Sailor may well grow up to be an engineer.
Cute pics of the family and of the dog, too.
