Today is going to be extra busy which isn't exactly how I would like it to be seeing that we are in the middle of the worst heat wave this area has experienced in sixty years. Air conditioners aren't something you need here most summers but it would be nice to have one right now. If I would do what I feel like I would sit on the recliner with my feet propped up and have fans situated all around me.
Instead I'll be doing our general Saturday deep cleaning today and our weekly grocery run. We did set several pails full of water outside to warm up a little for an afternoon water fight, plus I promised the children I would help them play several games of Memory after lunch.
All this extra work today so that tomorrow we won't have to worry about anything except this:

That definitely looks worth the extra work.
ReplyDeleteHave fun!
Sounds like a very busy day...you can send the heat our way if you want...here it feels like Autumn...apparently the worst summer recorded.
ReplyDeleteHave a blessed weekend.
Go Cardinals! Enjoy!
ReplyDeleteYes, it's HOT here too! Yesterday was 105 in the shade. Today promises more of the same. Hopefully it'll rain soon and cool it down at least a little :P
ReplyDeleteWell Iowa has a dendency to be hot. But this summer it is really way and above hot. The water fight sounds good. Have fun at the game, it is always good to have family time.
ReplyDeleteIt is scourching here too. Days like these I wish I had a pool. Have fun at the game!
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joanne

We, too, are roasting (and have been) as the thermometer is staying in the nineties since mid-May. It's been the longest heatwave in our state in years. I had to giggle over the game tickets. ;)
ReplyDeleteIt's more like Autumn weather here.
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend! And I hope the water fight was fun!
It's been horribly hot here, as well. Our ac stopped working last week, and we didn't get fixed until Tuesday. It was so miserable in the house that we spent the night at my mother's.
ReplyDeleteHave fun at your baseball game tomorrow. I'm a Reds fan. Don't you feel sorry for me? ;)
Our family LOVES to attend baseball games together. They can be so much fun! I hope you all have a great time at the ballpark!
ReplyDeleteWe didn't have AC when I was a kid in PA, and it didn't seem like a big deal. Now, though, I don't know what I'd do without it! Stay cool - the game looks like fun!
