Wednesday Hodgepodge

1. Create an acrostic using the word LOVE. If you're unsure what an acrostic is click here.

For God so Loved the world
that he gave his Only begotten son
that whosoever belieVeth in him should not perish
               but have evErlasting life.

2. Does love really conquer all? Why or why not?

God's love conquers all.

3. Tell us about a time recently, where you really put your heart into something.

Rosebud and I have been working on a writing project together, and have been putting our heart into it.

4. What's your favorite fictional love story?

I have quite a few that I really like a lot, but I think I'll have to go with one of my all time favorite series. Anne of Green Gables. The love story between Gilbert and Anne is not unlike the one that LV and I share which makes it even better.

5. Do you generally wear your heart on your sleeve, or keep your cards close to the vest?

Unfortunately my face is very easy to read to anyone who knows me, so it's kind of hard keeping feelings hidden.

6. What food says love to you? Why?

Chocolate.

Blue crab ravioli. It's always a special occasion when LV treats me to my favorite meal.

7. When were you last 'tickled pink' over something? Explain.

Rosebud needed a new pair of shoes, and I was tickled pink to find the pair she had really wanted on clearance at a huge discount.

8.  Insert your own random thought here.

On today's schedule is deep cleaning the kitchen. Not my favorite task in the world, but I always love how it feels once it has been done.

  2. What a great way to do the acrostic! I always love finding discounts on shoes. Deep cleaning the kitchen is something I did last week. Got rid of some things and re-organized...felt so good when it was all done.

  4. Amen to #1 and #2! I love it when a deep clean has been done but sometimes it is difficult to get started ;)

  5. I love a sparkling clean kitchen too. It's one job I find satisfying as it's so evident when it's done. Blue crab ravioli-yum!

  6. It's always a good thing when something you need goes on clearance!
I need to do some deep kitchen cleaning of my own. In fact, I'm starting today, with cleaning the oven. Not my favorite chore!

  8. Loved the acrostic! Blue crab ravioli? That's a new for me, but sounds delicious. Don't some of the most special traditions revolve around favorite foods? I find that interesting. I need to find inspiration to deep clean my closet. Woe is me!

  9. Cleaning! I'd be unstoppable, if I could just get started.
Totally different subject - does Ash Wednesday have any particular significance within the Amish community?

  11. Love your acrostic. I was thinking more selfishly when I did mine! Green Gables Fans UNITE! My random thought was a whole lot more fun than your random thought! And on that note, I need to go clean my kitchen and do some rearranging. *sigh*

  12. Your anacrostic is the best one I've seen so far! I too, like the feeling of accomplishment after finishing a deep cleaning, which I need to do myself!

  13. I love the acrostic you made with John 3:16! It's funny that Gilbert and Anne's love story reminded you of your own. As I was reading through your entries about when you and LV met, I was also reminded of Gilbert and Anne. :)

  15. Your acrostic is wonderful. I love anything chocolate. My face is also very easy to read and I can't seem to hide my emotions at all. Our son left to go home this morning after spending three days with us this week and one look at my face and he knew I was on the verge of tears at him leaving. And of course he was right!
    Blessings,
    Betsy
