We make a number of different lists of goals of twelve related things and assign a month to each of the items on the list.
We have done this the past few years and have found we really enjoy it.
Here is a sample of two of the lists:
I guess I should make another list and include, make a quilt frame. Somewhere amidst the three moves we made between 2004 and 2010 my quilting frame got lost. I'll need one if I hope to meet the goals on this list.
(Yes, the months were written in French, by a daughter who is studying and loving the French language.)
Today we begin with our craft related goal for January, and later on this week we'll try our hand at making Eclairs. Here's hoping they turn out well.
I too, set goals instead of making resolutions much more attainable, and keeps me focused and a little more organized. I see you have Creme Brulee in June - good choice! I make Creme Brulee every Christmas - c'est tres bien! (My high school French is tres BAD!) Happy New Year HUGS... and stitches
ReplyDeleteAwesome goals to set for yourself. Wishing you well as you check each one off.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great idea. So many of us make resolutions and they're forgotten by the end of the second week of January. :-). It'll be fun to watch you Cross things off of your list as you complete the goals.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Betsy
Such a neat idea. Have fun.
ReplyDeleteI think we have a better chance of reaching our goals when we actually write them down. Looks like you're half way there! I've yet to pick up a pencil when it comes to my own goals this year, but seeing yours all written out (so beautifully, I might add) has encouraged me...
ReplyDeleteGreat idea. I also think a list of goals is better than resolutions. Your craft list has some interesting sounding projects. Will you consider showing us pictures of the finished products ? I sure would like to see them ,Lily of the valley is my favorite flower.
ReplyDeleteHave fun with both lists.
Wow, your food goals are very aggressive! I am impressed! Hope you have a safe and happy new year!
ReplyDeleteSuper fun and productive. I never thought of making categories and making lists for each. I only have one general list in my head. One thing we are trying is the gratitude jar i think you mentioned a while back. We keep it on our mantle.
