Little Bit Of This & That

Blogger is acting up again this morning and I'm unable to upload the pictures I wanted to so instead I'll be doing another post of random things in my life that make me smile.
~~~~~~
I have a weakness for tongue twisters. I love finding them and getting others to say them. My latest I happened to discover quite by accident as I was looking through a recipe book and found a recipe for Braised Beef Brisket. I discovered that, that is one of the most difficult recipe titles ever to try and pronounce correctly.  Go ahead and try saying it three times really fast.
~~~~~~
I look forward to a certain time every morning while I am preparing breakfast and Rosebud stumbles into the kitchen still rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She gets the plates from the cupboard and starts setting the table and then pauses and says brightly. "Mama, I have a feeling that today is going to be a really good day."  At bedtime she will pause and say happily, "I was right about today. It was really good!"   I would love to be able to keep my little girl like this always but since I know that children don't stay little very long at all I hope she can carry that positive hopeful attitude all the way through life.
~~~~~
I love hearing the katydids sing their noisy songs every night. Here in our area once you hear them it is a sure sign that fall is just around the corner. My favorite season!
I love Sundays. It's the only day I don't have to worry about packing lunch and we can spend all day together as a family. It never lasts long enough. An added perk is that LV always takes care of preparing our food in the evening while I don't have to worry about anything. I must admit it is rather fun being spoiled.
  2. Yes, such a sweet little girl. I don't blame you for wanting to keep her little, but life goes on. You will enjoy each stage if you keep that closeness. Blessings.
  4. My hubby is fond of tongue twisters, but sense I have a form of dyslexia, reading was hard enough so learning to speak was difficult for me and to this day if I hear a word pronounced incorrectly and someone says the correct word afterwards I still cannot say the correct way.
    My daughter is 23 this month and she still has a way about her of saying things that are just purely from the heart in a childlike fashion. She says it is God in her heart that keeps her young in mind. I have worked on that myself and found God’s Spirit is renewing and can surprise you with what He will put in your heart.
  5. That WAS hard to say!! : )
    I think your little girl will keep her happy attitude. I think we don't change all that much from when we are kids.
    I still enjoy each day. There is always something to be happy about. : )
  8. I love tongue twisters, too. Reading Dr. Suess is always as fun for me as it is for the kids/grandkids.
    Rosy is a wonderful optimist. I hope she's always so cheerful.
