Eeeek!

Earlier this summer the children found a baby frog in one of our flower beds. They were quite fascinated with it and enjoyed watching and playing with it.

We were gone for quite a while and when we got home last weekend they were amazed and a little creeped out at the great big toad that was sitting there waiting on them. Rosebud had the honors of taking a picture of it. But this was the closest that the girls wanted to get to it. No chance of having it turn into a prince.

in the early summer we get a lot of little "hop toads" that visit our front sidewalk and porch...they do surprise us when we walk there in the evening. This hot weather has driven them to much cooler spots I think because I haven't seen one in a while

My kids always loved catching and playing with frogs, toads, and turtles, not to mention snakes. I had to get over thinking amphibians and reptiles were scary. They're kind of cute, really. And that frog may well be a prince to some little frogette!

We have toads, frogs and snakes in my property. The kids and I don't mind the toads and frogs. I don't mind the snakes. They're not poisonous. But they do have a knack for startling me.

We get big toads that hide in the bark around the playset. It's funny because all you can see are their eyes. The dog still has not learned that they taste bad and keeps after them.

We never touched toads as we were taught they cause warts on your hands.

awe that is great! Almost any kind of baby animal is cute - and then it grows up!

Yuck! My son found a huge toad like this one in TN and when we were driving home to PA (Lancaster Co.) it got loose in the car. It was really freaking me out! lol Then it reproduced and we had lots of ugly little toads in our garden.

We now live in GA, but we used to live among the Amish in Lancaster Co.

Thank you for visiting my blog!
