I soon acquired all her books and read and reread them and then added them, where they will remain, on my bookshelf reserved for only my most favorite books.
I waited patiently, along with the rest of the fans of her writings, for her next book and was more than happy to do a review and giveaway on my blog when she was looking for people willing to do so.
Tea and Trouble Brewing does not disappoint. It is written in the same style I have come to know and love from her previous books. It is a chapter book so it is easy to pick up and read when ever you have time. I find I like to have a little time to ponder over each chapter as I have read them.
She writes about everything from her love of tea, going fishing with her son, family, marriage, and how she was finally persuaded to join Facebook, It is one more thing that helps me be part of my teenagers' lives from the comforts of my home. Joining them on snowboards would be much more demanding.
By the time you turn the last page you feel as if you really know the Smucker family and would enjoy sitting down at a table with Dorcas to enjoy a cup of tea and talk about everything.

ReplyDeleteI've been following a long time. Love your blog. Thanks for the giveaway. Nita
I love tea! Hot, cold, sweet, straight, I love it all! My favorite is Chai, but the pepper sometimes gives me a headache. (the real 'homemade' kind is the best! But Tazo's is easier!) So, I guess if I have a migraine, it would be the brew for migraines. But nothing can beat spearmint tea! It brings back so many memories!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite tea is a steaming cup of Twining's Earl Grey. That's how I started this morning.

ReplyDeleteI enjoy a variety of teas - from simple black tea to a spiced chai to more mellow herbals - some to soothe and some to simply enjoy.
ReplyDeleteI have a feeling I'm too late :-( But that's ok 'cause believe it or not, I do not like tea (or coffee). I've "tried" to like both; taking sips of Bill's tea/coffee on occasion but there's always a funky taste that lingers...
