It's that time of year again. This morning when I looked out the window this is what I saw and I had to help the children do a happy dance. I have always enjoyed winters especially if they gave us a lot of snow.
I know this isn't a very popular opinion, but I would take winter over summer anytime! And now if you will excuse me I'm going to put on some Christmas music to listen to while I watch the snow pile up outside.

ReplyDeleteI love your picture. Believe it or not, I miss the kind of snowfall that is common there. It makes me a bit homesick. Enjoy the beautiful snowflakes and the music!
ReplyDeleteWell Ihave to say it takes all kinds! ;D Lol I do not like the cold and snow.. I even asked Kyle if we could go south this winter goats and all!... He said no... haha Thankful I live in Missouri where it usually dont really snow till Thanksgiving,Christmas or sometime after and by the end of February its rain and things are greening up!Enjoy your snow!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful snow! None here yet in the mountains of NC except in the higher elevations, think they might be getting flurries. I'm not quite ready for snow or Christmas but when I see that first snow, I always want to do a happy dance too.
ReplyDeleteLOL, enjoy your snow and your Christmas music! The snow missed us here in SW Ohio, thankfully! I'll just enjoy looking at yours! ;)
ReplyDeleteI am always very excited to see snow...we don't see much of it here in East Texas though.....enjoy your snow day...Christmas music will really set the mood I am sure....blessings
ReplyDeleteWow! You are so lucky! We didn't get any of that white stuff where I live. I even bought sleds a week ago for the kids in anticipation of the first snow! lol It's just cold here.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Angela
Oh, the snow is just gorgeous! We love snow, too. There is nothing better than a beautiful snow outside with a warm fire and hot chocolate inside. :) Have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteI love the first snow fall.but when it keeps coming storm after storm...yikes! Last year we had a bit too much of it. the snow was piled so high we ran out of places to put it! beautiful picture
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joanne
Snow! I LOVE SNOW!
ReplyDeleteI'm so looking forward to snow! I hope we get some (I don't remember what this area is like for snow... I remember one very snowy Winter, but I don't remember if both Winters were snowy that we were here, and I suppose two Winters in an area isn't really much time to know what the area is like in Winter anyway).
Oh MaryAnn! We are kindred spirits! I LIVE for winter!!!!!! In the summer, I feel so drained of life. It is dreadful, feeling so awful and very few people understand. I love winter...the woodstove cheerfully heating the house, the shorter days with more time to snuggle up with a (or THE) good book, and of course, making snowmen!!!There is nothing like getting so cold you can't stand it and then going inside and warming up! Last year, we bought some used snowmobiles and oh MY! Winter is even more fun!
ReplyDeleteThank you for stopping by my blog! Every time we head over toward Penn Yan and Dundee, I think about you!
I'm with you, Mary Ann - I much prefer winter over summer. I get giddy with excitement when the days start to get shorter! :)
ReplyDeleteGood for you! I like your joyful attitude.
ReplyDeleteBlessings to you - Marsha
I love winter and snow too. With all the complaining I read on other blogs about snow and winter coming in autumn, sometimes it feels like I'm the only one who likes it!
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely!
ReplyDeleteWow, that is an early snow, hope everyone was prepared!
ReplyDeleteSnow already? We haven't had Thanksgiving yet.
ReplyDeleteWe're still in the 60s and forecasted even 70s this week but I can't WAIT for the snow to get here! I don't like the icy, slide-my-way-to-work, power-outage kind, but pretty gentle snow just can't be beat.
ReplyDeleteOh, no, not Christmas music yet -- celebrate Thanksgiving for all it's worth. Not even with snow on the ground will I rush Christmas. But, it is beautiful, isn't it? Highly unusual, but always to be enjoyed.
ReplyDeleteI love snow too. I must admit to being rather jealous of the fact that we've yet to get any here (Michigan), despite being a northern border state! Soon, hopefully!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photo. I love snow when I can stay home and enjoy it. I do not like to drive in it though. Our local christian fm radio station just started playing CHRISTmas music yesterday. I love it!
