Footprints on the Ceiling is a collection of short stories which makes it a perfect book to pick up and read when you have a few minutes. Each chapter is sure to encourage, inspire, and maybe give you a new view on life, with a healthy amount of chuckles mixed in.
From young cooks in the kitchen, sorting through favorite books, travels to Thailand, and everything in between I enjoyed every minute of reading this book.
I think you would enjoy it too, and I'm happy to be able to give away an autographed copy. If you would like a chance to win one all you have to do is leave a comment telling me about the latest footprint you had to clean up.
A winner will be chosen on Friday, November 28th.
Footprints on the Ceiling is available for $15 per book, postage included. You can mail a check to Dorcas Smucker, 31148 Substation Drive, Harrisburg, OR 97446. US addresses only. For international orders, email Dorcas at dorcassmucker@gmail.com

So far, whenever I've cleaned a footprint, they have always been on the floor. :) The last one I cleaned was probably from when snow got tracked in. (Our first snow came early this season.)
ReplyDeleteI would love to win Dorcas Smucker's latest book. I can relate so well to her stories. Thanks for the chance! (In the event I should win, my email address is okiesmiller@hotmail.com.)
There are always footprints to clean up when you live with four men, lol. I would really enjoy winning the book. amamast88@gmail.com
ReplyDelete...that would be my kitchen floor; our entry is directly into that room.
ReplyDeleteMy comment would be a duplicate of Priscilla's. Kitchen floor, it's where our entry is.
ReplyDeleteThe last footprint (s) I cleaned up was when we were having our house painted. The painter wasn't very careful and tracked paint over our carpet. Needless to say, it was not easy to removed.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the chance to win Dorcas' book.
My email is angel2dave@gmail.com
The last footprint I cleaned up was on the living room floor. Someone was jumping in a pile of baking soda lol
ReplyDeleteThe last footprint I cleaned up was my own- after my youngest daughter dripped strawberry jam on the floor! I detest stepping in something sticky like that. Would love to win this new one by Dorcas!
ReplyDeleteThe last footprint I cleaned up was a muddy footprint from mud tracked in on my husband's workboots. Thank you for this giveaway. The book sounds wonderful.
ReplyDeleteMy mother-in-law stepped in to visit yesterday and when she left there were tracks where the snow melted off her boots. A tiny bit of me wanted to be irked, but really, what's that compare to being able to visit with her?? It took me 5 seconds to grab the mop and swish over it. No damage done.
ReplyDeletemostly the footprints I clean up are on the floor and they are few and far in between since I don't have kids dragging the mud in. Of course I drag mud in sometimes but my apartment is a no shoes on apartment so that helps too.
ReplyDeleteFootprints to be cleaned over and over when I helped my daughter move into her new home in Maryland this month. It was raining and the movers didn't seem to care about the wet and mud at all!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Muddy footprints on the kitchen floor after the snow melted over the weekend turning the yard to a muddy mess!
ReplyDeletecat paw prints on the kitchen floor--I think it was the dust from the litter box
ReplyDeleteHmm, the are some footprints on the top of our wood cook stove in my dining room where my husband stood to install a stovepipe the other day. I haven't gotten around to cleaning them just yet!

Well, this isn't the latest footprint I cleaned up, but it's the latest I should have. The internet repair guy was here this morning and tracked some snowy weather in with his boots. I chose to ignore it and I think it dried all right on its own. He also did a fabulous job of increasing our internet speed, so I can hardly be upset by the wet tracks.
ReplyDeleteMy bathroom is in the process of being ripped apart, just this afternoon I watched as my husband left dusty footprints in the hallway...
ReplyDeleteMy grand-daughters footprints at age two that were imprinted with paint on my studio carpet.
ReplyDeleteI clean house for a friend of mine. She has leukemia and loves to garden when she feels up to it. So on Monday, there was a big hiking boot footprint right inside her back door. =) I mopped it up with a smile. I'd love to be a winner. email: suzyquekau@aol.com P.S. I LOVE the background on your blog it blesses my "frilly" soul! =)
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, the latest and the most common footprints needing to be cleaned up here are those that have tracked in dog, cat and chicken poop. But I found the cutest idea for footprints. I saw an idea to use the kids' foot and hand prints on a wall, like a hallway, using paint and done randomly. It was very cute. bright paints of varying colors, with all the different sizes of hand and foot prints done up and down the wall at random intervals. Very cute.
ReplyDeleteThe last footprints I have cleaned up were either in the shape of chip crumbs or smashed grapes on my classroom carpet.
ReplyDeleteThe last footprints I *ought* to have cleaned up were left by my two cats. We have just poured a section of our concrete carport when the two of them came out of nowhere and raced right down the middle of the pad. We tried to run a long 2 x 4 over the surface, but it had set up, so there is a permanent record of Blitz and Eddie outside the door.
ReplyDeleteThe last footprints I have had to clean up were from my Collie Beau, after he came in from the rain one day.
ReplyDeleteThe latest footprints I've had to clean up have come from my kids, on my kitchen floor! I woudn't have it any other way. :-) Woudl love to win a copy of the book! Thanks! Lisa fyrefairymomma@yahoo.com
