Lately there seem to be a lot of those little hairy black spiders around. They seem to move at unmatched speeds but even so I have been successfully working at diminishing their population in our house.
This morning I was changing Buddy and the children were playing peek-a-boo with him at the same time. When all of a sudden Sailor exclaimed there is a huge black spider on Buddy. I managed to hang onto Buddy while I flicked the spider off and tried to stifle a scream while Sailor dissolved into a heap of laughter.
From somewhere he had found this plastic spider and managed to put in on Buddy's onesie without me seeing him do it.
After a scare like that the girls and I are still trying to plot revenge. I think it might be making an appearance in a sandwich sometime in the future if I can make myself touch it.
Oh how funny! Boys will be boys!
ReplyDeleteuntil next time... nel
That is just SO wrong! Spiders are the number one thing I abhor!! I like the sandwich idea. :)
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! LOL boys will be boys. Quite funny, though. ;)
ReplyDeleteHehe; you can tell Sailor that this grown-up woman goes out to find spiders every Sunday!
ReplyDeleteGlad you were able to keep a sense of humor about it! It'd serve him right to find it in his sandwich. I think we had a few plastic spiders that made the rounds when I was a kid.
HAHAHA!!!!! Please post before and after pictures if...I mean, WHEN you do!!

ReplyDeleteI hate spiders, I hate snakes. But, mice are kind of cute, with those little round ears.....
ReplyDeleteLOL - Sounds like Sailor is going to be a great tutor for little Buddy in how to freak out the female population. :)
ReplyDelete*chuckles*
ReplyDeleteOf course, it's only funny because it didn't happen to me.
I like mice, but I'm with you on the snakes and spiders!
Hubby and I have a deal - I take care of the snakes, and he deals with the mice.
ReplyDeleteAll spiders in the house receive an automatic death sentence. Out in the yard I try to let them be. (They do catch and eat other creepy bugs, after all.)In fact, 2 summers ago we got very little use out of our tiny back yard, because a rather spectacular spider took up residence back there.
Boys! You can get revenge...yes, with a sandwich... or in his bed... or any number of places. But be prepared, because this will become a game of 'where can we put this thing now?" A group of friends had a hideous, huge, lifelike bug that would make its way into luggage or beds or showers, etc. whenever we had a reunion. Fun, but scary at times!
