We had really enjoyed our time in Mew Mexico. There was something about this state that really fascinated us. The vastness of it with miles and miles of unspoiled untouched lands. The ancient cliff dwellings and ruins. It almost seemed as if you could feel the presence of something or someone much bigger than ourselves.
We went home but that feeling lingered and we once again buried ourselves in Bible reading. We knew there must be some explanation to everything we were feeling and a sense of earnest desperation of needing to know was once again pressing on us.
We read and read some more and talked about everything. There was so very much that we didn't and couldn't really understand but knew if it was in the Bible it must be important so we kept on reading.

Keep reading! My granddaughter (age 7) likened life to a chapter book...with each year being a chapter, each day a page. She wound it up by saying, "and we need to keep reading until God stops writing." Amen.
ReplyDeleteWe need to keep reading His Word, because there's so much to learn and to live!
Being in the education industry for a little while I learned it is accepted as common knowledge in academia that it takes at least a dozen times to of reading or doing something to begin to understand it. The Bible contains thousands of topics, so guess it is a life time of reading in order to keep learning what this wonderful book contains, daily renewing our minds, happy hunting in His Word to find new treasures each day.

When visiting places like that I feel in awe of the beauty of His world and I feel closer to Him. Can't wait to read more.
ReplyDeleteBlessings, Joanne
It must have been wonderful seeing all of what you did while on holiday. I bet it was frustrating feeling the way you did though. Hope you didn't have to search too long before finding the answers you were looking for.
ReplyDeleteIt's wonderful to read how the Lord dealt with you to search the Scriptures for Truth. There are so many opinions, groups, denominations, etc., but God Himself said He is the Word.
ReplyDeleteThe Bible is the best book ever written... It is such a joy and encouragement to read. :) Keep reading!! ;) I look forward to your next post!
