Bits of Random

Narrow winding roads + horse and buggies + vehicles with a need for speed = a scary combination.
Last evening that combination ended with a vehicle colliding with a horse and buggy at the curve just past our garage.
Thankfully everyone is okay. Buggies can be replaced, but how scary! I can only imagine how deeply thankful the parents of the young boys who had been driving the buggy must be, that their children didn't get seriously hurt or worse.

Yesterday LV had a follow up appointment with the surgeon who had worked on his eyes back in February after the explosion.
We are thrilled, and so very thankful for the latest report. Vision in both eyes is 20/20! God is so good! We are still in awe of the healing He did, especially in his right eye. Even the doctors expected it to be permanently blind.

We started our new year of school on Monday. For the first year ever, I wasn't excited about starting, but three days in and I've found my love of homeschooling is still alive and well. I'm looking forward to another great year,

I'm excited about my blogging plans for August. I've allowed too much time to pass between posts the last while, but I'm gearing up to have a month of posting daily. (except for Sundays)

  3. I'm so thankful that the boys driving the buggy weren't injured! Thank God for protecting them! Also, I'm crying tears of joy over the news of LV's sight! So wonderful!!! My eyesight can be corrected to 20/20 with glasses but when I first had my eyes tested at age 11 my vision was 20/800. Beyond legally blind. Being able to see is so precious to me and so I've been praying for LV's sight. Such a blessing to hear of answered prayers!

  5. Oh I'm so glad LV's eyes are doing so well. He's been in my prayers. I'm also very thankful that the car/buggy accident wasn't worse. That always worries me when I see buggies driving the roads with the cars on video. Car drivers often don't seem to realize that they're going too fast.
    Take care.
    Blessings,
    Betsy

  6. God is so good! So glad LV's eyes have healed (having a husband who is legally blind make me appreciate good vision!) and that the boys were not injured.

Looking forward to your August posts!

  7. God is so very good that He healed LV's eyes back to normal and that He protected those young boys from serious harm. Car drivers go way to fast even down the dirt road I live on and the gravel/sand sucks them into the ditch too many times. Glad it all turned out ok in the end. I am praying today for our Govenor making the decision on whether schools will open up in MN. We need to get back to normal of some sort and the kids really need it. I do daycare and my school kids are sooo good, but they were talking about wanting to go back to school even if they have to wear masks. Wendy

  12. I'm glad nobody was hurt in the buggy vs car accident. I'm also thrilled for LV (and you) that his sight has returned to normal. Sorry you weren't enthusiastic about starting your new school year, but glad you found that enthusiasm after a bit.
