Simple pleasures are the best! Today I am sharing a few pictures of things that bring simple pleasures into my life.
Sunbeam wearing a wreath of flowers that Rosebud wove together for her.
Rosebud enjoys wearing her apron/sunbonnet. Most day she wears it as an apron, but on days when she pretends to be Laura Ingalls a few buttons on the sides of the apron turn it into a sweet sunbonnet.A package filled with delightful things from a blog reader / friend all the way from Scotland.
Vintage coloring books. I still enjoy sitting down with the children and helping them color, and vintage books are the sweetest!
Finding a vintage pictures in a forgotten cranny of our ancient farmhouse. Isn't it adorable?!
Watching it snow. So pretty even if it means more work.
And I'm looking forward to enjoying this again in a few months.
Simple Pleasures are the best. I love to sit with my little grandchildren, listening to them read, or coloring with them. It's wonderful to sit on the porch and watch the birds splash in the birdbath. Sitting beside a creek, with water rushing over the rocks, is so peaceful. Listening to the music of the rainfall...lying in the sand beside the ocean, listening to the rhythm... God has blessed us with such simple things in which to find such great joy!

ReplyDeleteYes indeed, the simple pleasures are the best. I love those pictures, especially your sweet girls enjoying the simple things in life. I'm an apron fan so I'm intrigued about the apron/bonnet. It's adorable, and I'd love to make one if there is a pattern somewhere that you could point me to. Thanks for sharing!
