I can't supply the corner, but I do have a book for you.
Life with Lily is based on my own childhood. Most, but not quite all the stories happened just the way they are written.
Reviews of the series have both encouraged and humbled me. So very grateful to all my readers for choosing to read my books, when I know there are millions of books out there to choose from. To hear from little children, mothers, and grandmothers who have read and enjoyed them makes my day!
Today I will be giving away book one in the series, Life with Lily. If you have read it already feel free to enter anyway and pass it on to a friend if you win.
All you have to do to enter this giveaway is leave a comment telling me if you have already started with your Christmas shopping.
For a second entry post a link to this giveaway on your blog or Facebook and then come back and leave another comment telling me you did.
A third entry will be given to those who like my Facebook page and then leave a comment here telling me they did.
Winner will be chosen on Thursday, October 23rd.
Giveaway is now closed and a winner has been chosen.
I have my Christmas shopping about half done. A dear friend is knitting hats and sweaters for our two local great-grandchildren, and I've sent gifts cards to the parents of the two who live in California, as I have no idea what they like. Nieces and nephews under the age of 10 get "Highlights" magazine. I'll also get them each something to open, but the magazines make Christmas last all year. Inspiration hasn't hit yet for the rest of the family.
ReplyDeleteNo, I have not started Christmas shopping, but this book would certainly make a great gift for someone on my list. I've read all the books in this series to my students and they loved them and still talk about Lily.
ReplyDeleteYes, I have started with a few things. Not in full force, but a little bit.
ReplyDeleteI haven't started any Christmas shopping yet. But this book would make a great gift for someone! :)

I have already started. Even if I don't win, I am getting this series for my mom for Christmas.
ReplyDeleteNo, haven't even started. I am considering skipping the gift buying and donate what money I would spent to a brother in law battling cancer.
ReplyDeleteI have not started. Haven't even thought about it. I would love to win---is it the first in the series? If not, I've got some shopping to do right now. :)
ReplyDeleteI posted on your FB page too.
ReplyDeleteIt would be lovely to read your book. I have no Christmas shopping - we don't buy in our family, we give our sons the money and they bank it until the sales and choose something nice - I do make things for a few close friends though so should be thinking about that now. I only found your blog recently and am really enjoying it. Thankyou.
ReplyDeleteI have read your books and love them, so won't enter the giveaway.
ReplyDeleteNo, no shopping yet!

ReplyDeleteI am halfway done, and am waiting till Cyber Monday to take advantage of most sites free shipping on that day. My philosophy is ,why waste my time and gas driving hither and yon , if I I can do my shopping in the comfort of my own house .
ReplyDeleteYour book would be a nice addition to add to a gift.
I have bought a couple things for the children. I wish I had done more because it looks like my husband is going to be laid off soon and I'm not sure what Christmas will look like for us this year. But God always provides, and we have things in the craft closet to make a homemade, simple, happy Christmas come what may :) I have always wanted to read your Lily books, been enjoying your blog and testimony you share hete for years. My 4yo is just getting into chapter books, I know she would love this one. Grace and peace to you! :)

ReplyDeleteI shop all year long for birthdays and Christmas. I have a room that has a good stash of mostly used items from the thrift store or should I dare say the dump. We have a room at the dump where people drop off stuff that is good, but they no longer need. We are allowed to pick in there and I've taken some great stuff. The other day there was a beautiful potting bowl that looked a little like polish pottery. With a nice plant in it would make a wonderful gift for someone who likes plants and I have lots of them in my family. I don't think of myself as "cheap". We always have great gifts for everyone and our budget is very small, so there you have it.
