We let our subscription to the local daily paper expire and apparently Sailor was missing it and decided to start publishing his own.
Other then glance over the headlines I hardly ever read anything in our paper but it is quite opposite with Sailor's little publication where I read and enjoy every word.
The sports section reveals the winners of any games that were played the previous day. And the Help Wanted section has quite a few available jobs. A strong person is needed to fix bikes with a knowledge of tools and sweeping garage once done. Another job is someone that can vacuum living room without getting braids into vacuum cleaner.
In news there is an update on happy babies. It reads: Buddy woke up this morning very happy. He smiles, coos, and plays a lot. He also sleeps and cries when he is hungry.
Another headline contained a warning. Beware of Elmer's School Glue. It wrinkles paper and reduces the value of projects so try using glue sticks instead.
A weather forecast reads. It is raining right now but we expect it to stop sometime. So far it always did except once. If you think that one time was when Noah was in the ark you are wrong. It stopped raining after forty days then. The only time it hasn't stopped is right now.
A few clippings from a grocery flyer complete the newspaper.
Congratulations, Sailor! News we can use. I love doing the newsletter for the school Latchkey program where I work. :-)
ReplyDeleteThat newspaper sounds delightful! It's nice to have a journalist reporting good news for a change. Well done! :)
ReplyDeleteIt sounds like Sailor has gotten his Momma's knack for interesting writing!!
ReplyDeleteGreat!
ReplyDeleteWhen my nephew was young, he wrote a weekly paper for family and friends. He did such a wonderful job that we were a bit sad when he grew out of it. He'll be heading off to college in the next couple of years. I think he will pursue a degree in journalism.
That is precious! It looks like he's a budding journalist, for sure. I think the writing gene officially got passed down to the next generation.
ReplyDeleteNow, that's the kind of news a person we can use! Sailor is a clever young man. Looks like he has the makings of a very good writer. :)
ReplyDeleteIt definitely looks like Sailor is going to follow in his Mama's footsteps! Well done, Sailor!
ReplyDeleteThat is so cute! A future journalist possibly?

ReplyDeleteLOL - I love it!!! We had to put together a newspaper in school one time and it's tricky - looks like he did a great job. That's a saver. ♥
