Yesterday we needed something from the attic so the children and I trooped up there and started digging through boxes. I did a terrible job of marking boxes so we had to dig through almost every single one before I found what I was looking for. In the process of digging through the boxes I found this sweet little apple shaped candy dish.
Rosebud is the first person to read all my stories for the book and was absolutely thrilled to see this little dish since she had really enjoyed the story. She suggested I share a picture with you so that you can look forward to hearing about it someday too.
I've wondered how the book writing process was going so I'm gladto see a glimpse here at your blog. The candy dish is cute - looking forward to reading the whole story about it. :)

Just like the rest, I am excited to see your first book come out and hear the stroy behind the apple candy dish. My mother used to have a lot of serving dishes, but nothing like that. Due to hard times any of our nice dishes have long been sold. But the Lord has a way of bringing along new treasures.

I have one just like that! Do you know where they come from? For some reason I'm thinking they were free through quaker oatmeal, or some such deal. Mine was inherited from my mom after she died, so I don't know for sure where it came from, but I should ask my older sisters, maybe they know.
