Back-to-School

Summer is coming to an end, and as much fun as it is choosing the perfect back to school supplies for a new school year, sometimes it's fun getting something a little special for yourself.

So today I'm having a giveaway for one of my favorite things. A Lilla Rose flexi clip.

To enter all you have to do is leave a comment telling me something fun you did this summer. We didn't go on a vacation. In fact our summer wasn't anything like planned, but we still had a smattering of fun thrown in. Enjoying the best ice cream at this little ice cream shop, playing baseball in the backyard, and going swimming.

As always, for a second entry share this giveaway with a link back to this post on your blog or Facebook, and then leave another comment telling me you did.

I will be choosing a winner on Wednesday August, 20th.

Giveaway is now closed and a winner has been chosen.

  1. I was able to have a garden and do canning this year again! I had back surgery 2 years ago and wasn't able to do anything those 2 years. Felt so good to get back to doing what I love in the summer.

  2. We went to the beach first thing this summer, but not much after that! The kids went to a couple day camps so I was able to clean out some closets and our shed. That was exciting for me!

  3. I went for a woodland walk and picked hazelnuts with my teenage son. We love walking, each time we see something different, birds nests, bees nest, a kingfisher, a woodpecker, a squirrel, flowers, butterflies. I found your blog by accident, what a happy mistake! Betty

  9. I tried to comment but for some reason it's not here so will try again, hopefully it doesn't show up twice. My two daughters and I went to Ohio to visit family for a couple of days. They needed to come back but I wanted to stay longer so I came back by Amtrak. What really made it fun is I kept my 4 year old grandson with me and he was so excited to be able to ride on the train!

  10. This was a summer of finishing my UFO's. (unfinished objects) One was a afghan I started in 1996! I always hate to see summer end. I live in Wisconsin so it is a bit fleeting some years more than others. Always too soon for me no matter how long it last.

  11. We took a two day trip to a nearby, larger city. We ate out at different restaurants, went put-put golfing, swimming, and visited a small zoo/park (which was free!). We rarely do that sort of thing so it was a special treat for all.

  14. The flexi clip is so pretty. I have been thinking about ordering one for awhile now. My parents came for a visit at the beginning of June. It was nice seeing them. We only get to see them a couple times a year since they live over 900 miles away. Other than that it's been pretty quite, our vacation isn't till September. I'm really looking forward to that, we will take a cruise to Alaska.

  15. I planted a small garden. I know that sounds like work, but it was the only 'for me' fun thing I did all summer. I work 6 days a week so no vacations.

  16. My husband and I went to Myrtle Beach, SC, and it was lovely. He vacationed there as a child, but I had never been there before, so he was excited to show me his childhood stomping grounds. And, I had a surprisingly great time playing mini-golf!
