So today I'm having a giveaway for one of my favorite things. A Lilla Rose flexi clip.
To enter all you have to do is leave a comment telling me something fun you did this summer. We didn't go on a vacation. In fact our summer wasn't anything like planned, but we still had a smattering of fun thrown in. Enjoying the best ice cream at this little ice cream shop, playing baseball in the backyard, and going swimming.
As always, for a second entry share this giveaway with a link back to this post on your blog or Facebook, and then leave another comment telling me you did.
I will be choosing a winner on Wednesday August, 20th.
Giveaway is now closed and a winner has been chosen.
I was able to have a garden and do canning this year again! I had back surgery 2 years ago and wasn't able to do anything those 2 years. Felt so good to get back to doing what I love in the summer.
ReplyDeleteWe went to the beach first thing this summer, but not much after that! The kids went to a couple day camps so I was able to clean out some closets and our shed. That was exciting for me!
ReplyDeleteI went for a woodland walk and picked hazelnuts with my teenage son. We love walking, each time we see something different, birds nests, bees nest, a kingfisher, a woodpecker, a squirrel, flowers, butterflies. I found your blog by accident, what a happy mistake! Betty
ReplyDeleteMy "fun time" starts tomorrow. My husband and I are leaving tomorrow out of New Orleans on a 7 day cruise. Thank you for a chance to win the flexi clip.
ReplyDeleteOur fun days have been birthday celebrations, lots of them, all in August.
ReplyDeleteOur fun has consisted of lots of camping in the mountains of Washington and also spending time with our grandchildren. That's the best of all!
ReplyDeleteBlessings,
Betsy
Hi im a new reader and I've never commented before but I love your blog!!!:) It's very fun and interesting to read and I've learned a lot from it!!:)
ReplyDeleteThe best thing I did this summer was just getting to relax, talk with friends, and try out some new recipes! I'm also looking forward to my birthday in a couple of weeks!
Lots of hiking, gardening, and the fair, a great time for all!
ReplyDeleteI tried to comment but for some reason it's not here so will try again, hopefully it doesn't show up twice. My two daughters and I went to Ohio to visit family for a couple of days. They needed to come back but I wanted to stay longer so I came back by Amtrak. What really made it fun is I kept my 4 year old grandson with me and he was so excited to be able to ride on the train!
ReplyDeleteThis was a summer of finishing my UFO's. (unfinished objects) One was a afghan I started in 1996! I always hate to see summer end. I live in Wisconsin so it is a bit fleeting some years more than others. Always too soon for me no matter how long it last.
ReplyDeleteWe took a two day trip to a nearby, larger city. We ate out at different restaurants, went put-put golfing, swimming, and visited a small zoo/park (which was free!). We rarely do that sort of thing so it was a special treat for all.
ReplyDeletetook step daughter to band camp in Arkansas and while we were there, we went swimming.
ReplyDeleteWe just stayed home and enjoyed the summer. It has been a beautiful one so far.

The flexi clip is so pretty. I have been thinking about ordering one for awhile now. My parents came for a visit at the beginning of June. It was nice seeing them. We only get to see them a couple times a year since they live over 900 miles away. Other than that it's been pretty quite, our vacation isn't till September. I'm really looking forward to that, we will take a cruise to Alaska.
ReplyDeleteI planted a small garden. I know that sounds like work, but it was the only 'for me' fun thing I did all summer. I work 6 days a week so no vacations.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I went to Myrtle Beach, SC, and it was lovely. He vacationed there as a child, but I had never been there before, so he was excited to show me his childhood stomping grounds. And, I had a surprisingly great time playing mini-golf!

We went to a Pirates game! We lost, but the kids loved it and they got to run the bases afterward.
ReplyDeleteMy summer has been difficult since my husband passed away in March-but we were able to go camping and just the beauty of God's creation can take your breath away and awe you with all He has done for us. Thank you for the chance.
